A family heirloom disappears underwater

While swimming with friends at a private lake in central Oklahoma, a treasured gold ring slipped from its owner’s finger. The ring had been passed down through several generations, making its sentimental value impossible to replace.

Family and friends searched for hours without success before contacting Ring & Relic Recovery later that day.

Two sentimental rings recovered

After discussing where she had been swimming and how the loss occurred, we developed a search plan and worked the likely area with water-capable metal detecting equipment.

The heirloom gold ring was located—and nearby, so was its accompanying promise ring.

Lesson from the search

Water does not always mean gone forever.
